Hiring the right investigator can make the difference between a successful outcome and failure. Also, make sure you are prepared for the truth, the good news and the bad news. Ultimately, the best way to find a PI is by a referral; if you do not know anyone who has used a PI here are some resources so that you can compile a list of prospective candidates.
